Platform Base documentation
Platform Base is a Jsonnet library that renders the Argo CD Applications of a Kubernetes platform. It takes a cluster from zero to a running, application deployment ready cluster without a deep dive into the configuration of each tool.
You vendor Platform Base into a Git repository of your own, set a few options and apply one bootstrap render to an empty cluster. Argo CD then installs the components below and keeps them in sync with Git.
| Area | Components |
|---|---|
| GitOps | Argo CD |
| Ingress | Traefik |
| TLS | cert-manager |
| IAM | Keycloak, with single sign-on for Argo CD and Grafana |
| Observability | Grafana Alloy, Grafana Mimir, Grafana Loki, Grafana |
Platform Base is for teams that run Kubernetes clusters from Git and want a working, integrated foundation that other modules and workloads can build on.
