Platform Base applications

With the default configuration, root=false renders these 17 Argo CD Applications. They are all created in the argocd namespace. The bootstrap Application that creates them comes from the root=true render. See Architecture for how they fit together.

observability.storage.logs.enabled and observability.storage.metrics.enabled default to the value of observability.storage.enabled.

The argo-cd-core Application has no finalizer, all others have one.

Versions

The versions of the upstream charts and manifests are pinned in vendor/github.com/RocketPadPlatforms/base/deps/vendir.yml in your repository, for the release you vendored. Changes that come with an upgrade are in the upgrade notes.

Where the code lives

The Application names do not always match the folder in apps/:

• loki is in apps/grafana-loki and mimir-distributed in apps/grafana-mimir.
• argo-cd-core and argocd-config are in apps/argocd/core and apps/argocd/config.
• keycloak-operator and keycloak-operator-edp are in apps/keycloak-operator/quarkus and apps/keycloak-operator/edp.

Options

cert-manager, kube-state-metrics, node-exporter, carvel-secret-gen, prometheus-crds, grafana-operator and the two Keycloak operators have no options of their own. kube-state-metrics follows observability.profile, and the metrics of cert-manager and traefik follow observability.collector.enabled.
